A Welcoming City

Worcester is a beautiful river city approximately halfway between the UK’s second largest city of Birmingham to the north and the port city of Gloucester in the South.  It’s a friendly university city with a population of around 100,000 people and many facilities perfect for students including many restaurants, social bars, and nightclubs.  Its located on both sides of the famous and picturesque River Severn – the longest river in the UK – and has a long history and many heritage destinations worth visiting.

Student life in the city is fantastic experience, with gorgeous walks along the River Severn, a world-famous cricket ground, excellent shopping at the Crown Gate centre, vibrant nightlife, friendly cafes, and not just one but two first class rail stations to link you with Birmingham, London, and the rest of the country.  Worcester is located on the edge of the Cotswolds – an area considered to be one of the most beautiful and photogenic in Britain.

There’s a great arena, a horse racing centre, and the River Severn flows right through the city if you’ve ever thought about taking up rowing.
